Powerboat Courses
We offer Power boat courses which meets the needs of all those who use small craft. It will equip you with the knowledge to become safe and competant boat handlers. We award certificates with a coastal endorsement as tides and currents must be considered over the duration of the course. For those experienced drivers wishing to have a fast track option we can accomodate you. A typical course is 2 days and explores the upper reaches of the Haven on the first day. The second day often takes us out to the Heads to see the swell and experience rougher conditions.
Dinghy Sailing / Cruiser Sailing
The school has an Adventureress (12ft Dinghy) and Topper with access to other craft. We operate from Hazelbeach where there is good launching, parking, and changing facilites, pontoon and a pub!! All tuition is given by R.Y.A qualified staff. We can provide own boat tuition for dinghy / cruiser owners if required.
Sit on Kayak Courses
There has been an increased market for sit on kayak courses due to a boom in kayak sales. Many new to the sport are finding themselves in difficulty. We have devised a course to suit beginners aimed at educating them on the hazards of the coastline and promoting basic skills to make their new pastime safer and more enjoyable. The course is run by experienced and qualified staff who are able to add the personal touch with local knowledge and flexibility.
