Powerboat Courses

We offer Power boat courses which meets the needs of all those who use small craft. It will equip you with the knowledge to become safe and competant boat handlers. We award certificates with a coastal endorsement as tides and currents will be experienced. For those experienced drivers wishing to have a fast track option (direct assessment of 1/2 day) we can accomodate you. A typical course is 2 days and explores the upper reaches of the Haven on the first day. The second day often takes us out to the Heads to see the swell and experience rougher conditions.

The course covers anchoring, picking up a buoy, coming alongside, turning in confined spaces, man over board and basic seamanship and navigation.
